Bob's Creamy Tuna Surprise


Serves 4
  • 2 tins (7oz) Chunk Light Tuna in Water.  Drained. (your favorite brand or generic will do).
  • 2 cans (10.5oz) Condensed Cream Of Mushroom Soup
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 4 thick slices processed Cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 1 tbsp margarine
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (corn, peas, carrots).
  • 1 lb pasta. your favorite brand. I prefer to use cavatappi, penne or large shells
  • 1 tbsp salt (for pasta water)

  1. Bring 4 quarts of water to a boil in a large pot. Add salt and pasta and cook for recommended time. Usually 10 minutes.
  2. While pasta is cooking, combine drained tuna, Cream of Mushroom soup, milk, cheese slices (optional), and margarine in 3 or 4 quart sauce pan. Heat at low to medium temperature until mixture is creamy.
  3. Add frozen vegetables to mixture and continue heating until vegetables are hot.
  4. After pasta is cooked, drain and combine with the creamy tuna sauce.

Makes a quick and easy lunch or dinner.
