Hoisin-Glazed Pork Tenderloin

Serves 4
  • 1 lb pork tenerloin
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp star anise, ground
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha
  • 1 tbsp tamari
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • salt and pepper for seasoning pork
  • sesame seeds and cilantro for garnish

  1. Heat saute pan to medium high heat. Season pork tenderloin with salt and pepper and sear on both sides.
  2. Place on a sheet pan and bake  at 425 degrees F until internal temperature is 150 degrees F, roughly 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. While the pork is baking, make the hoisin sauce using the same saute in which you cooked the tenderloin. Add a little more oil if necessary. Saute garlic and anise until garlic starts to brown, on a medium heat.
  4. Mix together tahini, Sriracha, tamari and honey stirring with a whisk until blended. Combine with garlic and anise. Cook about 2 minutes
  5. Slice loin into 1 inch medallions and drizzle sauce on top. Garnish with cilantro and sesame seeds.
