Bob's Pork & Beans with Zing


SIMPLE SIDE DISH OF PORK & BEANS

INGREDIENTS
Serves 4
  • 2 Cans (15oz) Pork & Beans. Your favorite brand, even generic will do, preferably with brown sugar, molasses or maple sugar.
  • 1 small yellow onion, medium chopped.
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine.


PREPARATION
  1. Heat vegetable oil in frying pan at medium heat. Add butter or margarine when oil is hot.
  2. When butter or margarine is melted add chopped onions.
  3. Saute until onions are translucent, then add canned pork & beans. Heat a few minutes, gently stirring continuously, until beans are hot.

Goes great with fried pork chops!
